[ Anotasi Abstrak ]
The focus of this study is about Liberal feminism especially Traditional Gender Role. The character that will be analyzed is Alfrida and the narrator as the representative of women character that are portrayed in the short story. Therefore, this study aims to explain the ways in which Alfrida and the narrator break the traditional gender role. In addition, this study is conducted using a qualitative research approach. The research instrument in this study is the researcher herself.After analyzing the short story, the conclusion of this study are found, they are: Alfrida breaks the traditional gender role because she is a woman who has some personalities, Alfrida is a rational woman, Strong woman ,Independent woman and Decisive woman. In addition, the narrator also a woman who breaks traditional gender role because she is Independent, Public and Decisive.
