[ Anotasi Abstrak ]
The purpose of this study to determine of public opinion to female in tradition of purpose marriage to a boy at the Karang Agung village of Glagah district Lamongan Regency. By the aims of study would explain by social public opinion theory. The methods observation this study is used by quantitative research method of format descriptive survey. The result of study shows that 255 respondents studied male who have never done this tradition as much as 78 respondents. That is, many male respondents who claim never did this tradition. And female respondents stated that he had been an applicant in this tradition as many as 84 respondents. Because in this tradition the woman is the applicant. And the women also came to the house of the men to ask. After that make an agreement between the two sides of the family. Key word:Public opinion, Tradition, tradition of purpose marriage to a boy.
