Sebuah sekolah dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar pastinya juga memerlukan sebuah jurnal pengajaran yang bertujuan untuk menjadi kumpulan catatan bagi guru atau pengajar, agar pencapaian selama kegiatan belajar tercatat sebagai progres yang nantinya akan dibukukan sebagai arsip riwayat kegiatan di dalam kelas selama pembelajaran berlangsung setiap harinya dalam sebuah semester. Dari hasil wawancara dengan pihak kurikulum SMKN 10 Surabaya, yang menjadi permasalahan dari topik tersebut ialah proses pencatatan dan pengarsipan jurnal pengajaran di SMKN 10 Surabaya masih menggunakan cara yang terbilan lama dan masih kurang efisien dalam penerapannya. Guru yang bertugas membukukan atau mengarsipkan jurnal pengajaran mengalami macam-macam kendala, lalu guru terkadang luput dalam pengisian jurnal yang disebar di setiap kelas di sekolah. Dengan adanya penelitian pengembangan dari sistem informasi ini, peneliti berharap masalah-masalah sebelumnya dapat diatasi dengan lebih solutif dan efisien untuk membantu kinerja staf dan guru di SMKN 10 Surabaya. Dalam pengembangan yang dilakukan, peneliti menggunakan metode iterative waterfall yang megusung enam prosedur penelitian berupa feasibility study, requirement analysis and spesification, design, coding and unit testing, maintenance. Pengujian yang dilakukan pada penelitian pengembangan ini dilalui lewat 2 aspek pengujian yakni : functional suitability dan usability. Uji coba penelitian terkait menunjukkan hasil bahwa : 1) hasil uji coba functional suitability memperoleh persentase 100% dengan predikat sangat baik, 2) hasil uji coba usability memperoleh persentase usability sebesar 85,3% yang tergolong tinggi. Dari hasil yang didapatkan, tujuan yang telah dicapai oleh penelitian pengembangan ini ialah : 1) sistem informasi pencatatan jurnal ini dikembangkan serta dapat digunakan oleh staf dan guru di SMK Negeri 10 Surabaya, 2) Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi pencatatan jurnal memenuhi aspek kelayakan.

A school in teaching and learning activities certainly also requires a teaching journal which aims to be a collection of notes for teachers instructors, so that achievements during learning activities are recorded progress which will later be recorded an archive of history of activities in class during learning takes place every day in a semester . From the results of interviews with the curriculum of SMKN 10 Surabaya, the problem with this topic is that the process of recording and archiving teaching journals at SMKN 10 Surabaya still uses the old method and is still not efficient in its application. Teachers who are in charge of recording archiving teaching journals experience various obstacles, then teachers sometimes miss filling in the journals that are distributed in every class at school. With the research on the development of this information system, the researchers hope that the previous problems can be solved more solutively and efficiently to help the performance of staff and teachers at SMKN 10 Surabaya. In the development carried out, the researcher used the iterative waterfall method which carried out six research procedures in the form of a feasibility study, requirements analysis and specification, design, coding and unit testing, maintenance. Tests carried out in this development research were passed through 2 aspects of testing, namely: functional suitability and usability. Related research trials show the results that: 1) the results of the functional suitability test obtain a percentage of 100% with a very good predicate, 2) the results of the usability test obtain a usability percentage of 85.3% which is classified high. From the results obtained, the objectives that have been achieved by this development research are: 1) this journal recording information system is developed and can be used by staff and teachers at SMK Negeri 10 Surabaya, 2) The trial results show that the journal recording information system fulfills the feasibility aspect .
