Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kesesuaian pembuangan limbah produksi tahu dengan prinsip lingkungan yang berkelanjutan serta mengindentifikasi pencegahan efektif terhadap pencemaran lingkungan yang di sebabkan oleh limbah tersebut. Studi menunjukkan bahwa pembuangan limbah produksi tahu selama ini sering belum memenuhi prinsip keberlanjutan karena limbah cair dan padat dibuang tanpa pengelolaan memadai, yang berpotensi mencemari air, tanah, dan udara. Namun, penerapan konsep produksi bersih dan ekonomi sirkular, seperti pemanfaatan ampas tahu sebagai pakan ternak, bahan pangan olahan, atau pupuk organik, serta pengelolaan limbah cair menggunakan teknologi biorektor, dapat mengurangi dampak negatif lingkungan secara signifikan.rnMetode penelitian yang digunakan adalah empiris. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan yuridis sosiologis dengan teknik pengambilan data berupa wawancara dan studi dokumentasi.rnPencegahan efektif meliputi penerapan prinsip 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle), penggunaan energi. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi implementasi teknologi ramah lingkungan dan kebijakan pengelolaan limbah yang terpadu untuk mendukung keberlanjutan industri tahu.

This study aims to examine the suitability of tofu production waste disposal with the principles of sustainable environment and to identify effective prevention of environmental pollution caused by the waste. The study shows that tofu production waste disposal has often not met the principles of sustainability because liquid and solid waste is disposed of without adequate management, which has the potential to pollute water, soil, and air. However, the application of the concept of clean production and circular economy, such the use of tofu dregs animal feed, processed food ingredients, organic fertilizers, well liquid waste management using biorector technology, can significantly reduce negative environmental impacts.rnThe research method used is empirical. The approach used is a sociological juridical approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews and documentation studies.rnEffective prevention includes the application of the 3R principle (reduce, reuse, recycle), energy use. This study provides recommendations for the implementation of environmentally friendly technology and integrated waste management policies to support the sustainability of the tofu industry.
