Si ABSTRAK Keluarga merupakan tempat pendidikan yang pertama bagi anak. Perselingkuhan disertai kekerasan membawa pengaruh dalam segala aspek kehidupan baik positif maupun negatif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kondisi lingkungan, dan prestasi belajar siswa, serta perilaku anak dari orang tua yang broken home. Karakter yaitu tingkah laku yang dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode dalam penelitian ini penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus, teknik pengumpulan data melakukan observasi, wawancara. Pemilihan informan yang peneliti gunakan ialah purposive sampling. Peneliti melakukan wawancara dengan orang tua, anak yang menjadi korban perceraian, serta wali kelas. Hasil temuan yang peneliti dapatkan mengenai perilaku anak dari orang tua korban perceraian, menunjukkan bahwa terjadinya perceraian mengakibatkan karakter yang buruk karena kurang bertanggung jawab, mandiri, disiplin, religius, keinginan untuk bersikap semaunya sendiri, serta tidak punya semangat belajar dan menyebabkan prestasi di sekolah menurun. Karakter seseorang turut ditentukan oleh keluarga sebab seorang individu akan memperlakukan dirinya seperti perlakuan yang diperoleh dalam lingkungan sebelumnya. Keadaan ini anak frustasi, sehingga dapat mendorong anak menjadi mudah marah misalnya bertengkar dengan teman sebayanya. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini ada dampak terhadap anak dari keluarga tidak utuh, timbul rasa cemas, dan seringkali memberontak sebagai penyebab perceraian orang tua. Si ABSTRACT Family is a child first place of education. Meantime, infidelity with domestic violence is the second trigger of divorce number in Indonesia. It influences all aspects of life both positive and negative. The purpose of this study is to know the students’ surrounding condition, their achievements, as well as the character description of students from broken home family. Character is a behavior which is influenced by the environment/surroundings in everyday life. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a case study research; while the data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The technique of selecting informants that the researcher used was purposive sampling. The researcher conducted interviews with parents, children who became victims of divorced family, and homeroom teacher. The findings showed that students from divorced family tends to have negative characters which are led by lack of responsibility, independent, disciplin, religious, egoist, and no spirit of learning which lead to low achievement. A person’s character is more or less also determined by the family since an individual will treat himself like he has been treated in his previous environment. In this circumstances, the child is easily frustrated; it may encourage children to be irritable then quarreling with peers. Through the study, it can be concluded that there is an impact on children from divorced families, one of which is arising anxiety and rebels. Those negative behaviors initiated by the divorce of the parents which resulted in the feeling of being neglected. Kata Kunci: Keluarga, Karakter Siswa, Broken Home
