Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kecerdasan emosional siswa bermasalah dan untuk mengetahui gambaran interaksi teman sebaya pada siswa bermasalah. Kecerdasan emosional merupakan suatu kemampuan yang berhubungan dengan kemampuan seseorang untuk memahami perasaan yang terjadi pada dirinya sendiri dan perasaan yang terjadi pada orang lain serta keterampilan seseorang dalam bersosial dengan lingkungannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik snowball sampling dengan jumlah informan utama tiga siswa dan lima orang lainnya sebagai informan tambahan. Hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa yang bermasalah memiliki kecerdasan emosional yang kurang. Interaksi teman sebaya pada siswa bermasalah juga kurang, mereka sering dikucilkan oleh teman-teman sebayanya. Kecerdasan emosional dibagi menjadi lima bagian yaitu kesadaran diri, pengaturan diri, motivasi, empati, dan keterampilan sosial. Sedangkan interaksi teman sebaya dibagi menjadi tiga aspek, yaitu inklusi, kontrol, dan afeksi. Kata kunci: Siswa Bermasalah,Kecerdasan emosional, Interaksi teman sebaya

The objective of this research is to find out the description of Emotional Quotient on the students who are having trouble and to find out the description of the classmate interaction on the students who are having trouble. Emotional Quotient (EQ) is an ability that related to someone’s ability to understand the feeling happen in themselves and the feeling happen in other people and also someone’s ability to socialize in their environment. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach by using snowball sampling technique, with the amount of main informant is ten students and the other five as additional informant. The result of this research is the students who are in trouble, have less emotional quotient. The interaction with their classmate is also less. They are often expelled from relationship by their classmate. Emotional Quotient is divided into five parts. There are self-realization, self-disposition, motivation, empathy, and social skill.
