Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran BUMDes dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan masyarakat melalui unit – unit usahanya dan untuk mengetahui peran BUMDes terhadap kemandirian desa yang dapat dilihat dari keberhasilan program pembangunan melalui BUMDes dengan melihat input, process, dan outcome yang dihasilkan Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian dengan observasi, wawancara dan studi kepustakaan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah unit usaha simpan pinjam dan unit produksi pupuk organik belum memberikan kontribusi yang maksimal dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan masyarakat Desa Brabowan. Sedangkan, unit usaha penggemukan sapi memberikan kontribusi dari keuntungan yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar Rp 3.000.000,00 sebagai sumber pemasukan BUMDes untuk pengembangannya. Keberadaan BUMDes dapat mewujudkan desa menjadi lebih mandiri. Kemandirian desa ini dapat dilihat dari : 1) input menunjukkan kegiatan BUMDes yang berkaitan dengan self capability desa untuk melakukan perubahan atau pembangunan 2) process menunjukkan partisipasi dalam program pembangunan berupa pembentukan dan mendukung kegiatan BUMDes serta terlibatan langsung di dalam kegiatan ini menjadi tanggung jawab bersama (collective responsibility) 3) outcome menunjukkan manfaat dari BUMDes sebagai program pembangunan yang berkaitan dengan keberlanjutan (sustainability) manfaatnya untuk waktu yang akan datang. Dalam hal ini dengan adanya BUMDes belum dapat menjadikan desa menjadi mandiri, karena manfaatnya belum bsa dirasakan oleh seluruh masyarakat desa.

The purpose of this research is to know the role of rural-owned corporation in fulfilling the needs of the community through its business units and to know the role of rural-owned corporation to the independence of the village which can be seen from the success of the development program through rural-owned corporation by looking at the input, process, and outcome generated This research type is descriptive qualitative . Technique of collecting research data with observation, interview and literature study. The conclusion of this research is the unit of savings and loan business and organic fertilizer production unit has not give maximum contribution in fulfilling the needs of the people of Brabowan Village. Meanwhile, the cattle fattening business unit contributes from the profit earned that is Rp 3,000,000.00 as the source of income of rural-owned corporation for its development. The existence of rural-owned corporation can make the village more independent. The independence of this village can be seen from: 1) the input shows of rural-owned corporation activities related to the self-capability of the village to make changes or development 2) the process indicates participation in the development program in the form of formation and support activities of rural-owned corporation and direct involvement in this activity become joint responsibility collective responsibility) 3) outcomes show the benefits of rural-owned corporation as development programs related to the sustainability of the benefits for the future. In this case the existence of rural-owned corporation has not been able to make the village become independent, because the benefits have not been felt by all the villagers.
