Sekolah telah menerapkan kurikulum 2013, dimana scientific learning menjadi inti dalam penerapan pembelajaran.Berhasilnya penerapan scientific learning dapat dilihat melalui kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) yang dimiliki siswa dalam Menyelesaikan suatu permasalahan.Penelitian ini berbentuk deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif.Informan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 6 orang.Intrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi, tes dan wawancara.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis HOTS dalam penerapan scientific learning di tinjau dari kemampuan awal yang dilakukan kepada siswa kelas X TKJ SMKN 1 Labang. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Siswa dengan kemampuan awal tinggi cenderung memiliki HOTS kategori critical thinking, decision making,reasoning danproblem solving dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS tipe analisis pada proses menguraikan, proses mengorganisir dan proses menemukan makna tersirat dan tipe evaluasi pada proses memeriksa dan proses mengkritik disisi lain siswa dengan kemampuan awal sedang dan kemampuan awal rendah cenderung memiliki HOTS kategori critical thinking dan decision making dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS tipe analisis pada proses menguraikan saja.

Schools have implemented the 2013 curriculum, where scientific learning is at the core of the application of learning. The success of the application of scientific learning can be seen through the higher order thinking skills (HOTS) that students have in solving a problem. This research is in the form of descriptive using qualitative methods. Informants in this study amounted to 6 people. The instruments used are observation sheets, tests and interviews. The purpose of this study is to analyze HOTS in the application of scientific learning in terms of the initial abilities performed to students of class X TKJ SMK 1 Labang. The results of this study are students with high initial ability tend to have HOTS in the category of critical thinking, decision making, reasoning and problem solving in solving HOTS problems in the type of analysis in the process of describing, organizing processes and the process of finding the implicit meaning and type of evaluation in the process of checking and criticizing the side other students with early moderate abilities and low initial abilities tend to have HOTS critical thinking categories and decision making in solving HOTS types of analysis type in the process of deciphering it.
