ABSTRAK Terong (Solanum melongena L.) merupkan komoditi yang memiliki potensi ekonomi cukup baik. Hal ini terbukti dengan meningkatnya permintaan tanaman terong, tetapi peningkatan permintaan tidak diiringi dengan jumlah produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian dosis pupuk kandang kambing terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman terong. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Lahan Produksi dan Riset Agroteknologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Trunojoyo Madura Jawa Timur yang terletak pada ketinggian ±5 m, Pada bulan Desember 2017 sampai bulan Maret 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan, masing-masing dosis yaitu : N0 (kontrol), N1 (dosis pupuk kandang kambing 10ton/ha), N2 (dosis pupuk kandang kambing 15ton/ha), N3 (dosis pupuk kandang kambing 20ton/ha), dan 5 kali ulangan. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, hari muncul bunga, bobot buah per tanaman, diameter buah, dan panjang buah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian dosis pupuk kandang kambing berpengaruh nyata pada tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, hari muncul bunga, bobot buah per tanaman, dan panjang buah. Dosis pupuk kandang kambing pada perlakuan N3 (20 ton/ha) merupakan dosis yang paling memberikan hasil yang baik pada tanaman terong. Kata Kunci: Dosis, Pupuk Kandang Kambing, Terong.

ABSTRACT Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is the commodities that have good economic potential. This is evidenced by the increased demand for eggplant, but the increase in demand is not accompanied by the amount of production. This research purpose is to know the effect of goat manure dose on the growth and the result of eggplant. This research was conducted at Agrotechnology Production and Research Field Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Trunojoyo Madura East Java located at an altitude of ± 5 m, In December 2017 to March 2018. This research used a complete randomized design (RAL) with 4 treatments, each the is : N0 (control), N1 (the dose of goat manure 10ton/ha), N2 (the dose of goat manure 15ton/ha), N3 (the dose of goat manure 20ton/ha), and 5 replications. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, day of flowers appear, weight fruit, diameter fruit, and length fruit. The results showed that dosage of goat manure had significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, day of flowers appear, weight fruit, and length fruit. The dose of goat manure on the N3 treatment (20 ton/ha) is the dose that gives the best results in the reserch of eggplant. Keyword: Dose, Goat manure, Eggplant.
