Pengembangan teknologi jaringan ad hoc adalah Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET). MANET terbentuk dari kumpulan node yang menggunakan nirkabel untuk melakukan komunikasi. Kedudukan node pada MANET sama, sehingga diperlukan adanya routing protokol yang mampu meng-cover pertukaran data untuk memberikan jalur routing secara optimal. Pada penelitian ini, protokol routing yang digunakan yaitu AODV. Selain routing, dalam pengiriman paket dibutuhkan sebuah traffic behaviour dan transport agent, yang berfungsi sebagai penentu keandalan, dan jenis traffic behaviour dan transport agent yang digunakan adalah Transmission Control Protocol untuk File Transfer Protocol (TCP/FTP) dan User Datagram Protocol untuk Constant Bit Rate (UDP/CBR). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kinerja antara TCP/FTP dan UDP/CBR pada MANET dengan mensimulasikan menggunakan Network Simulator 2(NS-2). Dalam penelitian terdapat tiga skenario yaitu perubahan jumlah node, kecepatan, dan koneksi. Untuk penilaian kinerja menggunakan parameter Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), Normalized Routing Load (NRL), dan Routing Overhead (RO). Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah TCP/FTP unggul pada nilai PDR dengan rata-rata 96.944 %. UDP/CBR unggul pada nilai RO dengan nilai rata-rata 0.003 dan NRL dengan nilai rata-rata 0.066. Traffik TCP/FTP dan UDP/CBR memiliki tingkat keunggulan yang berbeda berdasarkan nilai kerja Quality of ServiceI (QoS) terhadap perubahan jumlah node, kecepatan, dan koneksi

The development of ad hoc network technology is Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET). MANET is formed from a collection of nodes which use wireless to communicate. The position of the nodes on the MANET is the same, so there is a need for routing protocols which are able to cover data exchanges to provide optimal routing. In this study, the routing protocol used is AODV. In addition to routing, packet transmission requires a traffic behaviour and transport agent, which serves as a determinant of reliability, and the type of traffic behaviour and transport agent used is Transmission Control Protocol for File Transfer Protocol (TCP/FTP) and User Datagram Protocol for Constant Bit Rate (UDP/CBR). The purpose of this study is to determine the performance between TCP/FTP and UDP/CBR on MANET by simulating using Network Simulator 2 (NS-2). In the study there are three scenarios, namely changes in the number of nodes, speed, and connection. For performance assessment, use the parameters Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), Normalized Routing Load (NRL), and Overhead Routing (RO). The results obtained in this study are TCP/FTP superior to the PDR value with an average of 96,944%. UDP/CBR is superior to RO value with an average value of 0.003 and NRL with an average value of 0.066. TCP/FTP and UDP/CBR traffic have different levels of excellence based on the Quality of ServiceI (QoS) work values on changes in number of nodes, speed, and connections.
