ABSTRAK Abstrak: Kekuasaan tidak terlepas dari hegemoni yang mengatur kelas subordinat agar patuh kepada kelas dominan. Namun, jika hegemoni tersebut membentuk kekuasaan yang salah maka akan mendapatkan perlawanan dari kelas subordinat. Seperti yang tergambarkan dalam novel Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk karya Tere Liye, menceritakan perjuangan seorang konsultan politik dalam melawan dominasi kekuasaan yang dianggapnya salah. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana konsep hegemoni Antonio Gramsci yang terjadi dalam novel Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konsep hegemoni Antonio Gramsci yang terjadi dalam novel Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk. Konsep hegemoni Gramsci adalah teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisi bentuk-bentuk kekuasaan melalui persetujuan, meliputi hegemoni kelas berkuasa, hegemoni budaya, ideologi, kaum intelektual, dan negara. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pustaka, baca, dan catat. Teknik yang digunakan untuk analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis isi, yaitu; membaca teks, menemukan masalah, menentukan kategori teks, proses klasifikasi, menafsirkan teks, dan kesimpulan akhir. Teknik keabsahan data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi teori dengan cara dibandingkan dengan perspektif teori yang relevan dengan teori hegemoni Gramsci untuk menjaga keabsahan data yang dikumpulkan. Pada hasil penelitian menunjukkan hegemoni kelas berkuasa mengatur kelas subordinat untuk selalu patuh dengan urusan dari kelas dominan, hegemoni budaya menciptakan pemahaman tentang gaya hidup yang harus dipahami dan dipatuhi, ideologi berhasil menjadi pengikat antarkelas sosial melalui gagasan dan persetujuan, peran kaum intelektual berhasil menunjukkan perannya dalam penyebaran ideologi, dan negara berhasil menunjukkan perannya melalui masyarakat politik dan sipil. Novel ini menunjukkan bahwa kekuasaan melalui kekerasan tidak akan bertahan lama karena akan mendapatkan perlawanan dari rakyat yang setuju untuk mengganti sistem kekuasaan tersebut. ABSTRACT Abstract: Power is inseparable from the hegemony that governs the subordinate class to obey the dominant class. However, if the hegemony forms the wrong power, it will get resistance from the subordinate class. As illustrated in the novel Country at the Horn by Tere Liye, it tells the story of the struggle of a political consultant in opposing the dominance of power which he considers wrong. The problem in this research is how the concept of Antonio Gramsci's hegemony occurred in the novel Country at the Horn. This study aims to describe the concept of Antonio Gramsci's hegemony that occurs in the novel Country at the Horn. The concept of Gramsci hegemony is a theory used to analyze forms of power through agreement, including the ruling hegemony of the class, the hegemony of culture, ideology, intellectuals, and the state. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques using library techniques, read, and record. The technique used for data analysis uses content analysis techniques, namely; read text, find problems, determine the text category, the process of classification, interpret the text, and final conclusions. The validity technique of the data used is theory triangulation by comparing it with a theoretical perspective that is relevant to Gramsci's theory of hegemony to maintain the validity of the data collected. The results of the study show that the hegemony of the ruling class regulates the subordinate class to always obey the affairs of the dominant class, cultural hegemony creates an understanding of lifestyle that must be understood and obeyed, ideology succeeds in binding social class through ideas and agreements, the role of intellectuals shows their role in the spread of ideology, and the state succeeded in showing its role through political and civil society. This novel shows that power through violence will not last long because it will get resistance from people who agree to change the power system. Keyword: Sociology of Literature, Gramsci Hegemony
