[ Anotasi Abstrak ]

Deskripsi Lain

Microplastic is a small plastic particle that is ≤ 5 mm hard to decompose, so this material will remain in a long period of time. Its small size allows the microplastic to be accidentally digested by various marine organisms. This research aims to determine the number, shape and weight of microplastic that exist in demersal fish (Nemipterus Japonicus), sediment and water. Sampling is taken at 2 observations in 1 month, with 1 sampling as many as 5 samples. Samples of demersal fish (Nemipterus Japonicus) were arrested with a length of 17-20 cm with a fish weight of 70-120 gr without seeing the type of gender. Results showed that microplastics found in the gastrointestinal tract of fish (Nemipterus Japonicus), namely the form of fiber, fragments and films with a total amount of 234 particles/ind, and the average weight of 0.0575 particles/ind. But in the water found microplastic fiber form, fragments and movies with a total amount of 305 particles/mL, and the average weight of 0.0705 particles/mL. While the sediment is found fiber form, fragments and films with a total amount of 365 particles/g, with an average weight of 0.0901 particles/g.
