ABSTRAK Siti Nur Asiyah. 14.05.411.00117.Program Studi Psikologi, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Budaya, Universitas Trunojoyo Madura.2019.Hubungan sense of humor dengan optimisme mahasiswa FISIB dalam menyelesaikan skripsi.xviii + 74 halaman + 20 Lampiran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahi hubungan sense of humor dengan optimisme mahasiswa FISIB dalam menyelesaikan skripsi. Pada variabel sense of humor diungkap melaui empat aspek yang terdiri dari aspek produksi humor, menggunakan humor untuk mengatasi masalah, penggunaan humor secara sosial dan sikap terhadap humor dan orang-orang yanglucu. Sedangkan pada variabel optimisme diungkap melalui tiga aspek yaitu: aspek permanen, aspek perfasif, aspek personalisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 88 yang di tentukan melalui teknik nonprobability sampling dengan menggunakan accidental sampling. Metode pengumulan data menggunakan kuisioner (angket) dalam model Likert. Validitas dan realibilitas menggunakan uji terpakai. Teknis analis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan rank spearman. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan dan analisis data maka didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa ada hubungan antara sense of humor dengan optimisme mahasiswa FISIB dalam menyelesaikan skripsi. Pada uji rank spearman diperoleh probabilitas atau signifikansi 0,000 < 0,50, maka Ha diterima maka dapat disimpulkan variabel sense of humor memiliki hubungan yang positif dengan variabel optimisme. Jika sense of humor yang dimiliki mahasiswa FISIB tinggi, maka semakin tinggi pula optimisme dalam menyelesaikan skripsi (r = 0,411). The sense of humor variable is revealed through four aspects which consist of aspects of humor production, using humor for coping, social uses of humor and attitudes towards humor and humorous people. While the optimism variable was revealed through three aspects, namely: permanent aspects, pervasiveness aspects, personalization aspects. This research uses quantitative methods. The subjects in this study amounted to 88 which were determined through nonprobability sampling techniques using accidental sampling. The method of data collection uses a questionnaire in a Likert model. Validity and reliability using the used test. Technical data analysts in this study used rank spearman. Based on the results of the discussion and data analysis, it was concluded that there was a relationship between sense of humor and the optimism of FISIB students in completing their thesis. In the Spearman rank test, the probability or significance is 0,000 <0,50, then Ha is accepted so it can be concluded that the sense of humor variable has a positive relationship with the optimism variable. If the sense of humor possessed by FISIB students is high, then the higher the optimism in completing the thesis (r = 0.411).
