Gillnet millennium merupakan jenis alat tangkap gillnet yang telah dimodifikasi dari gillnet pada umumnya. Perbedaan antara gillnet millennium dengan gillnet pada umumnya terdapat pada bahan jaring yang digunakan yang memiliki serat pilinan multi-monofilament, serta warna jaringnya yang bening dan transparan. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil tangkapan berdasarkan perbedaan ukuran mata jaring. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengambilan data primer dengan cara observasi langsung ke lapangan. Dalam kegiatan tersebut dilakukan pengamatan dan pengumpulan data tentang komposisi hasil tangkapan yang meliputi jenis, panjang, tinggi, lebar, dan berat hasil tangkapan, persentase hasil tangkapan, Catch Per unit Effort (CPUE), serta lokasi penangkapan ikan. Hasil tangkapan dari gillnet millenium 4 inchi berbeda dengan gillnet millenium 4,5 inchi. Berdasarkan jumlah spesies gillnet millenium 4 inchi dapat menangkap 17 jenis sedangkan untuk gillnet millenium 4,5 inchi 15 jenis; berdasarkan pada ukuran tubuh ikan hasil tangkapan dalam hal ini lebar dan tinggi tubuh ikan, gillnet millenium 4 inchi menghasilkan kisaran ukuran tubuh yang lebih lebar dibandingkan dengan gillnet millenium 4,5 inchi; untuk bobot total hasil tangkapan gillnet millenium 4 inchi lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan gillnet millenium 4,5 inchi; Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE) untuk bobot dan jumlah individu gillnet millenium 4 inchi lebih besar dari pada gillnet millenium 4,5 inchi.

Gillnet Millennium is a type of gillnet fishing gear that has been modified from Gillnet in general. Based on the number of species of gillnet millenium 4 inches can catch 17 types while for gillnet millenium 4.5 inches 15 types; based on the body size of the catch fish in this case the width and height of the fish body, the 4 inch gillnet millenium produces a wider body size range than the 4.5 inch millenium gillnet; for the total weight of the catch of gillnet millenium 4 inches more than the gillnet millenium 4.5 inch; Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE) for the weight and number of individual gillnets millenium is greater than 4.5 gillnet millenium.
