ABSTRAK Ikhsan, Rafiul. 2021. Analisis Kontrastif frasa kata benda dalam bahasa Inggris dan Jawa. Tugas Akhir, Jurusan Bahasa Inggris. Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Budaya. Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. Pembimbing : Dr. Sriyono, S.S., M.Hum. Penelitian ini mencoba menganalisis bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Jawa khususnya dalam frasa nominanya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data adalah satu buku Sekolah Bahasa Inggris Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris (Peminatan Bahasa dan Budaya) untuk kelas satu SMA yang disusun oleh suparmin dan diterbitkan oleh Mediatama dan empat siswa Jawa. Data bahasa Inggris adalah frasa kata benda yang ditemukan dalam buku dan data bahasa Jawa adalah frasa kata benda bahasa Inggris yang diterjemahkan oleh Empat siswa bahasa Jawa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara mencatat dan angket. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa ada sepuluh (10) jenis konstruksi frasa nomina bahasa Inggris menurut kelas elemennya; Article + Noun, Demonstrative Pronoun + Noun, Possessive Adjective + Noun, Numeral + Noun, Quantifier + Noun, Adjective + Noun, Noun + Noun, Noun + Adjective, Noun + Adverb dan Noun + Prepositional Phrase. Di sisi lain, ada sepuluh (10) jenis konstruksi Frase Nomina Jawa menurut kelas unsurnya; Article + Noun, Numeral + Noun, Quantifier + Noun, Noun + Demonstrative Pronoun, Noun + Numeral, N + Quantifier, N + Adjective, Noun + Noun, N + Adverb, Noun + Prepositional Phrase. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat (5) kesamaan konstruksi; Artikel + Kata Benda, Angka + Kata Benda, Kuantifikasi + Kata Benda, Kata Benda + Kata Benda, Kata Benda + Frasa Preposisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 4 perbedaan: Pertama, frasa nomina bahasa Jawa tidak memiliki frasa nomina yang dikonstruksi dengan kata sandang pasti dan tak tentu. Kedua, frasa nomina bahasa Jawa dengan kata sifat posesif adalah satu kata. Ketiga, frasa nomina bahasa Inggris tidak memiliki konstruksi seperti bahasa Jawa yang memiliki angka untuk menunjukkan ukuran. Keempat, bahasa Jawa tidak memiliki frase kata benda dengan kata ganti tak tentu seperti seseorang dan sesuatu. Kata kunci: frase kata benda, bahasa Inggris, bahasa Jawa, Analisis Kontrastif.

University of Trunojoyo Madura. Advisor: Dr. Sriyono, S.S., M.Hum. This study is attempted to analyze the English and Javanese languages specifically in their noun phrases. This study was conducted by using a descriptive qualitative approach. The source of data were one English school book Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris (Peminatan Bahasa dan Budaya) for first grade of senior high school composed by suparmin and published by Mediatama and four Javanese students. The English data were noun phrases found in book and Javanese data were English noun phrases that were translated by Four Javanese students. The data were collected using taking note taking and questionnaire. The findings show that there ten (10) kinds of English noun phrases constructions according to the classes of the elements; Article + Noun, Demonstrative Pronoun + Noun, Possessive Adjective + Noun, Numeral + Noun, Quantifier + Noun, Adjective + Noun, Noun + Noun, Noun + Adjective, Noun + Adverb and Noun + Prepositional Phrase. On the other hand, there are ten (10) kinds of Javanese Noun Phrases constructions according to the class of the elements; Article + Noun, Numeral + Noun, Quantifier + Noun, Noun + Demonstrative Pronoun, Noun + Numeral, N + Quantifier, N + Adjective, Noun + Noun, N + Adverb, Noun + Prepositional Phrase. The result also shows that there are (5) similarities in constructions; Article + Noun, Numeral + Noun, Quantifier + Noun, Noun +Noun, Noun + Prepositional Phrase. The resulst shows that there are 4 differences : First, Javanese noun phrase does not have noun phrases constructed with both definite and indefinite article.. Second, Javanese noun phrase with possessive adjective is a single word. Third, English noun phrases does not have construction as Javanese which has number to show measurement. Fourth, Javanese does not have noun phrases with indefinite pronoun such someone and something. Keywords: noun phrases , the English language, the Javanese language, Contrastive Analysis.
