ABSTRACT Maisaroh. 17.05.111.000.68. The Racism and The Fight for Human Right of Refugee Kid in Onjali‘s The Boy at The Back of The Class. Thesis. English Study Program, Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences, University of Trunojoyo Madura. Advisor: Imron Wakhid Harits, Ph.D. This study aimed to determine the racism and the fight for human right of refugee kid in children‘s book The Boy at The Back of The Class. This study used qualitative reasearch as a method to collect, select, and analyze the data. The data used in this study was a children‘s book The Boy at The Back of The Class by Onjali Q. Raúf. The collecting data in this study was completed by using document analysis for the source of data was in the form of novel. The theory used in this study was racism theory by George M. Fredrickson. One focus of Fredrickson was his statement of racism which was no longer just a theory of human differentiation but has grown into an action. The form of racism and the fight for human right of the refugee kid in this study was depicted in the form of narration and conversation between the characters. The result of this study showed that: (1) there were several causes of racism in the novel (2) there were several forms of racism directed at refugee kid (3) the fight for human right of the refugee kid covered several sectors.
