Menulis merupakan salah satu cara seseorang untuk menuangkan ide serta gagasan yang ada didalam hati dan pikirannya untuk membuat suatu karya yang diciptakan dapat dinikmati oleh pembaca. Oleh sebab itu peneliti menggunakan metode mind mapping berbantuan media video animasi guna membantu peserta didik dalam menulis teks eksplanasi. Rumusan masalah dalam peneliti ada dua yakni, bagaimana minat belajar peserta didik dalam menulis teks eksplanasi dan bagaimana pengaruh metode mind mapping berbantuan media video animasi terhadap kemampuan menulis teks ekplanasi siswa kelas VIII. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan minat belajar peserta didik dan pengaruh pengggunaan metode mind mapping berbantuan media video animasi terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siwa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Sumenep. Metode Mind maping merupakan metode mencatat sederhana yang mampu memudahkan untk mengingat perkataan dan bacaan. Teks eksplanasi merupakan teks yang menjelaskan suatu kejadian baik berupa alam, sosial, dan budaya. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif dengan desain True Ekxperimental Design (Pretest-Postest Control Group Desaign). Ada dua variabel dalam penelitian ini yakni variabel bebas berupa metode mind mapping berbantuan media video animasi dan variabel terikat berupa teks eksplanasi. populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Sumenep. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII A dan VIII B (tidak dipilih secara acak). Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan cara observasi, tes, dan angket. Hasil kemampuan awal pretest peserta didik kelas kontrol dari 20 peserta didik tidak terdapat peserta didik yang tuntas, begitu juga pretest di kelas eksperimen dari 20 peseeta didik tidak terdapat peserta didik yang tuntas. Hasil perhitungan untuk melihat pengaruh menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf kesalahan 0,05, maka diperoleh nilai thitung5,5105˃ttabel2,1009, maka Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak. Hasil pemeroleh tersebut dapat dilihat pada nilai postest eksperimen yang menggunkan metode mind mapping berbantuan media video animasi memperoleh nilai lebih tinggi dari pada nilai postest kontrol yang tidak menggunakan. Atinya terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metode mind mapping berbantuan media video animasi terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Sumenep.

Writing is one way for someone to express ideas and ideas that are in his heart and mind to make a work that is created can be enjoyed by the reader. Therefore, the researchers used the mind mapping method with the help of animated video media to help students write explanatory texts. There are two problem formulations in the researcher, namely, how the students' learning interest in writing explanatory texts and how the influence of the mind mapping method assisted by animated video media on the ability to write explanatory texts for class VIII students. This study aims to describe students' interest in learning and the effect of using the mind mapping method with the help of animated video media on the ability to write explanatory texts for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 6 Sumenep. The Mind mapping method is a simple note-taking method that makes it easier to remember words and readings. Explanatory text is a text that explains an event in the form of natural, social, and cultural. This type of research uses a quantitative design with True Experimental Design (Pretest-Postest Control Group Design). There are two variables in this study, namely the independent variable in the form of mind mapping method assisted by animated video media and the dependent variable in the form of explanatory text. the population in this study were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Sumenep. Sampling in this study were students of class VIII A and VIII B (not randomly selected). Data collection techniques were obtained by means of observation, tests, and questionnaires. The results of the initial ability of the control class students from the control class of 20 students did not have students who completed, as well as the pretest in the experimental class of 20 students there were no students who completed. The results of the calculation to see the effect of using the t-test with an error level of 0.05, then the value of tcount is 5.510˃5ttable2.1009, then Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. The results of these gains can be seen in the posttest value of the experiment that uses the mind mapping method with the aid of animated video media which obtains a higher value than the posttest control value that does not use. The point is that there is an influence using the mind mapping method with the aid of animated video media on the ability to write explanatory texts for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 6 Sumenep.
