Pendidikan merupakan hal yang terpenting dalam kehidupan, setiap individu berlomba untuk mendapatkan pendidikan setinggi mungkin. Untuk mendapatkan pendidikan yang berkualitas, individu mampu berpindah dari daerah asal ke tempat perantauan untuk melanjutkan pendidikan. Mahasiswa yang memutuskan untuk merantau akan mengalami situasi yang berbeda dari tempat asal ke tempat perantauannya, sehingga mahasiswa dituntut untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungan sekitarnya. Mahasiswa yang mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan baik akan bereaksi terhadap dirinya dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konformitas terhadap penyesuain diri pada mahasiswa rantau di Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan instrument penelitian yakni skala konformitas dengan reliabilitas 0,777 dan skala penyesuaian diri dengan reliabilitas 0,667. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa rantau luar Madura angkatan 2022, dan berusia 19 sampai 23 tahun. Adapun jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 247 responden yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian. Teknik sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai F yakni 2,114 dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,147. Jika signifikansi < 0,05 maka hipotesis diterima, dikarenakan 0,147 lebih dari 0,05 (0,147 > 0,05) maka hipotesis ditolak. Sehingga dapat diartikan tidak terdapat pengaruh konformitas terhadap penyesuaian diri pada mahasiswa rantau di Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa konformitas bertolak belakang dengan penyesuaian diri, dimana penurunan pada konformitas mengakibatkan penurunan pada penyesuaian diri. Berdasarkan koefisiensi determinasi (R Square) diperoleh nilai 0,009 atau sebesar 0,09% yang dapat diartikan bahwa variabel konformitas memberikan pengaruh terhadap variabel penyesuaian diri sebesar 0,09% dan untuk sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain selain konformitas.

Education is the most important thing in life, every individual competes to get the highest education possible. To get quality education, individuals are able to move from their home areas to overseas places to continue their education. Students who decide to migrate will experience different situations from their place of origin to their overseas place, so students are required to adjust to the surrounding environment. Students who are able to adjust well will react to themselves and the environment. This study aims to determine the effect of conformity on self-adjustment in regional students at Trunojoyo Madura University. This study uses a quantitative approach using research instruments, namely the conformity scale with a reliability of 0.777 and a self-adjustment scale with a reliability of 0.667. The respondents in this study were students from the Madura region class of 2022, aged 19 to 23 years. The number of respondents in this study was 247 respondents who participated in the study. The sample technique used in this study is the technique purposive sampling. The results of this study showed an F value of 2.114 with a significance of 0.147. If the significance < 0.05 then the hypothesis is accepted, since 0.147 is more than 0.05 (0.147 > 0.05) then the hypothesis is rejected. So it can be interpreted that there is no influence of conformity on adjustment in regional students at Trunojoyo Madura University. It can be concluded that conformity is the opposite of self-adjustment, where a decrease in conformity results in a decrease in self-adjustment. Based on the coefficient of determination (R Square) A value of 0.009 0.09% is obtained, which can be interpreted that the conformity variable has an influence on the self-adjustment variable by 0.09% and for the rest is influenced by factors other than conformity.
