Mahasiswa khususnya tingkat akhir sering mengalami hambatan ketika mengerjakan skripsi salah satunya dikarenakan faktor ekonomi sehingga mereka harus kuliah sambil bekerja. Menghadapi hal tersebut mahasiswa akan sering mengalami perubahan emosional yang dapat menimbulkan stress sehingga memerlukan problem focused coping untuk dapat fokus pada penyelesaian masalah. Penggunaan problem focused coping dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya adalah keterampilan sosial. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara keterampilan sosial dengan problem focused coping pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir di UTM yang bekerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jumlah responden adalah 100 mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang bekerja.. Hasil penelitian pada uji hipotesis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana menghasilkan nilai F 10.448 dengan nilai signifiknsi 0.002 sehingga hipotesis diterima. Nilai R Square yaitu sebesar 9.6% artinya keterampilan sosial memiliki pengaruh terhadap problem focused coping sebesar 9.6%, dan 90.4% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lainnya.

Students, especially final year students, often experience obstacles when working on their thesis, one of which is due to economic factors so they have to study while working. Facing this, students will often experience emotional changes that can cause stress, thus requiring problem focused coping to be able to focus on solving problems. The use of problem focused coping is influenced by several factors, one of which is social skills.Based on this, this research aims to determine the influence between social skills and problem focused coping on working final year students at UTM. This research uses quantitative methods with the number of respondents being 100 working final year students. The results of the research on hypothesis testing using simple linear regression produced a F value of 10.448 with significance value of 0.002 so the hypothesis was accepted. The R Square value is 9.6%, meaning that social skills have an influence on problem focused coping of 9.6%, and 90.4% are influenced by other factors.
