[ Anotasi Abstrak ]
Penelitian ini mengkaji Buku Panduan Pariwisata Sumenep dengan menggunakan Analisis Wacana Multimodal untuk menelusuri makna yang disampaikan dalam representasi empat pantai: Lombang, Slopeng, Sembilan, dan e-Kasoghi. Analisis menggunakan metode kualitatif dan juga menggunakan Teori Apresiasi untuk mengkaji makna verbal deskripsi, mengidentifikasi penilaian positif terhadap estetika, komposisi, fungsionalitas, dan pengalaman sensorik pantai. Selain itu, Tata Bahasa Visual digunakan untuk menganalisis elemen visual, yang memperlihatkan penggunaan long shot untuk menciptakan rasa tenang dan pendekatan "demand" untuk melibatkan pembacanya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Buku Panduan Pariwisata Sumenep secara strategis menggabungkan elemen verbal dan visual untuk membangun narasi persuasif yang mempromosikan pantai Sumenep sebagai destinasi yang tenang, beragam, dan ramah, akhirnya menarik minat wisatawan potensial.

This study uses multimodal discourse analysis to explore the meanings conveyed in the Sumenep Tourism Guidebook, focusing on its depiction of four beaches: Lombang, Slopeng, Sembilan, and e-Kasoghi. The analysis method is qualitative approach, and it employs appraisal theory to examine the verbal meaning of the descriptions, identifying positive evaluations of the beaches' aesthetics, composition, functionality, and sensory experiences. Additionally, visual grammar theory is used to analyze the visual elements, revealing the use of long shots to create a sense of tranquility and "demand" approaches to engage viewers. The findings indicate that the guidebook strategically combines verbal and visual elements to construct a persuasive narrative that promotes Sumenep's beaches serene, diverse, and welcoming destinations, ultimately attracting potential tourists.
