Riset berikut dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya permasalahan dalam kemampuan menyimk teks cerita fantasi siswa kelas VII UPTD SMPN 2 Camplong Sampang. Pada keterampilan menyimak siswa kesulitan memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh guru dan merasa bosan, bahkan siswa lebih suka berbicara dengan teman sebangkungnya pada saat pembelajaran di kelas sehingga suasana belajar kurang kondusif. Penelitian berikut bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan menyimak siswa kelas VII UPTD SMPN 2 Camplong Sampang. Penelitian berikut termasuk dalam penelitian kuantitatif dengan model Quasi Experimental Design dan menggunakan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data dalam riset berikut diperoleh melalui hasil tes performasi siswa. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, yakni hasil kemampuan teks cerita fantasi yang mengalami peningkatan. Kelas kontrol memiliki nilai rata – rata 51,12 menjadi 77,90 sedangkan kelas eksperimen 56,45 menjadi 80,67. Dari hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh thitung 12,54 > 2,057 dengan tarif signifikasi 0,05 yang berati Ha diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media film animasi terhadap kemampuan menyimak teks cerita fantasi siswa kelas VII UPTD SMPN 2 Camplong Sampang

The following research is motivated by the existence of problems in the ability to listen to fantasy story texts of class VII students of UPTD SMPN 2 Camplong Sampang. In listening skills, students have difficulty understanding the material presented by the teacher and feel bored, even students prefer to talk to their deskmates during class learning so that the learning atmosphere is less conducive. The following study aims to determine the effect of the listening skills of class VII students of UPTD SMPN 2 Camplong Sampang. The following research is included in quantitative research with the Quasi Experimental Design model and uses the Nonequivalent Control Group Design design. The data in the following research were obtained through the results of student performance tests. The results of the study obtained, namely the results of the ability to read fantasy story texts which increased. The control class had an average value of 51.12 to 77.90 while the experimental class was 56.45 to 80.67. From the results of the hypothesis testing, the t was 12.54> 2.057 with a significance rate of 0.05 which means Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an influence of animated film media on the ability to listen to fantasy story texts of class VII students at UPTD SMPN 2 Camplong Sampang.
