Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan literasi sains siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, peningkatan literasi sains siswa setelah penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis kearifan lokal soto Madura, Keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran PBL berbasis kearifan lokal soto Madura terhadap literasi sains siswa, 4) Respons siswa setelah diterapkan model PBL berbasis kearifan lokal soto Madura terhadap literasi sains siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan berupa penelitian eksperimen, quasi experimental dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan dilaksanakan di UPTD SMPN 2 Burmeh. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu semua siswa kelas VII Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan Teknik nonprobability sampling dengan desain purposive sampling. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu kelas VII-A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII-B sebagai kelas kontrol. Tekhnik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji non parametrik Mann Whitney U test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Ada perbedaan literasi sains siswa di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan signifikansi post-test sebesar 0,000 menunjukkan nilai signifikansi kurang dari 0,05, 2) Peningkatan hasil literasi sains siswa setelah penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis kearifan lokal soto Madura pada materi Klasifikasi Makhluk Hidup berdasarkan N-Gain Score memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 0,32 dengan kategori sedang, 3) Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 100% dengan kategori sangat baik, 4) Respons siswa rata-rata persentase secara keseluruhan sebesar 94% dengan kategori sangat baik. This study aims to determine the difference in students` scientific literacy between the experimental class and the control class,the increase in students` scientific literacy after the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model based on local wisdom of Madurese soto, The implementation of the PBL learning model based on local wisdom of Madurese soto on students` scientific literacy, 4) Students` responses after the application of the PBL model based on local wisdom of Madurese soto on students` scientific literacy. The type of research used is experimental research, quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach and was carried out at UPTD SMPN 2 Burneh. The population in this study were all seventh grade students in the 2024/2025 academic year. Sampling used nonprobability sampling technique with purposive sampling design. The sample used was class VII-A the experimental class and class VII-B the control class. Data collection techniques used tests, observations of learning implementation, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques used the non-parametric Mann Whitney U test. The results of the study showed that: 1) There was a difference in students` scientific literacy in the experimental class and the control class with a post-test significance of 0.000 indicating a significance value of less than 0.05, 2) Increased student scientific literacy results after the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model based on local wisdom of Madurese soto on the Classification of Living Things material based on the N-Gain Score obtained an average of 0.32 with a moderate category, 3) Learning implementation was 100% with a very good category, 4) Student responses had an average percentage of 94% with a very good category.
