Penelitian ini mengkaji penggunaan sistem sikap dalam teori appraisal pada ulasan dan rekomendasi di superprof.com terhadap tutor bahasa Korea. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis sikap yang digunakan serta menganalisis bagaimana sikap tersebut direalisasikan dalam evaluasi yang diberikan oleh siswa.rnrnData dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui analisis dokumen, dengan fokus pada 40 ulasan dan rekomendasi yang ditulis oleh siswa di superprof.com. Analisis difokuskan pada ekspresi evaluatif yang berkaitan dengan subsistem sikap, meliputi afek (ranah perasaan), penilaian (ranah etika), dan apresiasi (ranah estetika). Data dianalisis dan diinterpretasikan berdasarkan kerangka teori apraisal dari Martin dan White (2005), khususnya pada subsistem sikap.rnHasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian merupakan jenis sikap yang paling dominan, di mana siswa terutama mengevaluasi kemampuan tutor. Selanjutnya diikuti oleh apresiasi yang berfokus pada penilaian terhadap materi atau struktur pembelajaran, serta afek yang mencerminkan respon emosional positif dari siswa. Selain itu, hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa makna sikap lebih banyak direalisasikan secara tersurat (eksplisit) melalui penggunaan bahasa evaluatif langsung, dibandingkan secara tersirat (implisit), seperti melalui deskripsi situasi.rnrnDengan demikian, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa siswa cenderung membangun evaluasi yang dominan positif serta menggunakan berbagai pola dan strategi evaluatif dalam ulasan di superprof.com. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa teori appraisal efektif digunakan untuk menganalisis bahasa evaluatif dalam konteks ulasan daring di bidang pendidikan.

This study investigated the use of the attitudinal system within appraisal theory in Superprof.com reviews and recommendations of Korean language tutors. The primary aims of this study were to identify the types of attitudinal items used and to analyze how these attitudes are realized in students’ evaluations.rnrnThe data of this study were collected through document analysis, focusing on 40 reviews and recommendations written by students on superprof.com. The analysis particularly examined evaluative expressions related to the attitude subsystem, including affect (the region of feeling), judgement (the region of ethics), and appreciation (the region of aesthetics). The data were analyzed and interpreted based on Martin and White’s (2005) appraisal framework, specifically the attitude subsystem.rnrnThe findings revealed that judgement was the most dominant attitude subtype, in which students mainly evaluated the tutors’ capability. This was followed by appreciation, which focused on evaluating lessons teaching structures, and finally affect, which reflected students’ positive emotional responses. Furthermore, the results showed that attitudinal meanings were primarily realized through direct expressions (inscribed), using explicit evaluative language, rather than through implicit strategies (invoked), such situational descriptions implied meanings.rnThus, this study concludes that students tend to construct predominantly positive evaluations and employ various evaluative patterns and strategies in superprof.com, highlighting the effectiveness of appraisal theory in analyzing evaluative language in online educational contexts.
