[ Anotasi Abstrak ]
Kemampuan berpikir kritis anak usia 5–6 tahun perlu dikembangkan melalui pembelajaran yang menarik dan sesuai karakteristik anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan media pembelajaran tradisional “UTAKIS” (Ular Tangga Berpikir Kritis) yang layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis anak usia 5–6 tahun. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media “UTAKIS” memperoleh kelayakan 85% dari ahli materi dan 85% dari ahli media dengan kategori sangat layak. Rata-rata kelompok eksperimen meningkat dari 12,07 menjadi 29,33, sedangkan kelompok kontrol 23,20. Uji Paired Sample t-Test dan Independent Sample t-Test memperoleh signifikansi <0,001. Dengan demikian, “UTAKIS” sangat layak dan efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis anak usia 5–6 tahun.

Children’s critical thinking skills at the age of 5–6 years need to be developed through engaging learning activities that are appropriate to their characteristics. This study aimed to develop “UTAKIS” (Critical Thinking Snakes and Ladders), a traditional learning medium that is feasible and effective in improving the critical thinking skills of children aged 5–6 years. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The results showed that “UTAKIS” obtained a feasibility score of 85% from the material expert and 85% from the media expert, categorized highly feasible. The experimental group’s mean score increased from 12.07 to 29.33, while the control group obtained a mean score of 23.20. The Paired Sample t-Test and Independent Sample t-Test showed a significance value of <0.001. Thus, “UTAKIS” is highly feasible and effective in improving the critical thinking skills of children aged 5–6 years
