Film sebagai media komunikasi massa mampu merepresentasikan berbagai fenomena kehidupan, termasuk komunikasi transendental dalam pencarian makna hidup. Film Eat Pray Love menggambarkan perjalanan spiritual Elizabeth Gilbertrndalam menemukan ketenangan dan makna hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui representasi komunikasi transendental tokoh Elizabeth Gilbert dalam film Eat Pray Love. Penelitian menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan teori semiotika Roland Barthes melalui analisis denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka terhadaprntujuh adegan yang merepresentasikan komunikasi dengan Tuhan, refleksi diri, dan komunikasi dengan tokoh spiritual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi transendental direpresentasikan melalui doa, meditasi, refleksi diri, danrndialog dengan tokoh spiritual yang menggambarkan proses penerimaan diri, penyembuhan luka batin, serta pencarian makna hidup. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa film Eat Pray Love merepresentasikan komunikasi transendental sebagai proses transformasi batin yang membawa tokoh utama mencapai penerimaan diri, keseimbangan hidup, dan pemaknaan hiduprnmelalui hubungan dengan Tuhan, diri sendiri, dan lingkungan sosial.

Film, a medium of mass communication, is capable of representing various life phenomena, including transcendental communication in the search for the meaning of life. The film Eat Pray Love portrays Elizabeth Gilbert's spiritual journey in finding inner peace and the meaning of life. This study aims to analyze the representation of Elizabeth Gilbert's transcendental communication in the film Eat Pray Love. The research employs a constructivist paradigm with a descriptive qualitative approach and applies Roland Barthes' semiotic theory through the analysis of denotation, connotation, and myth. The data were collected through observation, documentation, and literaturernreview by analyzing seven selected scenes representing communication with God, self-reflection, and communication with a spiritual figure. The findings reveal that transcendental communication is represented through prayer, meditation, self-reflection, and dialogues with a spiritual mentor, illustrating the processes of self-rnacceptance, emotional healing, and the search for the meaning of life. The study concludes that Eat Pray Love represents transcendental communication a process of inner transformation that enables the main characterrnto achieve self-acceptance, life balance, and a deeper understanding of life's meaning through harmonious relationships with God, oneself, and the surrounding social environment.
