Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara perbandingan sosial dengan harga diri pada mahasiswa Universitas Trunodjoyo Madura pengguna outfit skena kalcer. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 144 mahasiswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan skala perbandingan sosial yang disusun berdasarkan aspek ability dan opinion, serta skala harga diri yang disusun berdasarkan aspek performance, social, dan appearance. Analisis data dilakukan dengan korelasi pearson product moment menggunakan program IBM SPSS Statistics 25. Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,200 (p > 0,05), dan hasil uji linearitas menunjukkan hubungan yang linear antara kedua variabel sebesar 0,994 (p > 0,05). Uji hipotesis menghasilkan nilai r 0,632 dengan p 0,000 (p < 0,05), yang berarti terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara perbandingan sosial dengan harga diri. Secara deskriptif, sebagian besar responden berada pada kategori perbandingan sosial sedang (63,2%) dan harga diri sedang (66,7%). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi kecenderungan perbandingan sosial, semakin tinggi pula harga diri pada mahasiswa pengguna outfit skena kalcer.

This study aims to examine The Relationship Between Social Comparison and Self-Esteem Among Trunodjoyo University of Madura Students Who Wear Kalcer-Style Outfits. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 144 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a social comparison scale based on the aspects of ability and opinion, well a self-esteem scale based on the aspects of performance, social, and appearance. Data analysis was performed using pearson’s product-moment correlation with IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The normality test results indicated that the data were normally distributed with a significance value of 0.200 (p > 0.05), and the linearity test results indicated a linear relationship between the two variables of 0.994 (p > 0.05). Hypothesis testing yielded a value of r 0.632 with p 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant positive relationship between social comparison and self-esteem. Descriptively, the majority of respondents fell into the moderate social comparison category (63.2%) and the moderate self-esteem category (66.7%). These findings indicate that the higher the tendency toward social comparison, the higher the self-esteem among college students who wear “kalcer” scene outfits.
