[ Anotasi Abstrak ]

Deskripsi Lain

This study is motivated by differences in how business actors in Mantup District, Lamongan Regency, respond to the obligation to obtain halal certification. These differences are reflected in their levels of understanding and the halal certification status of their businesses. This study aims to examine the responses of Riz Bakery, Dapoer Gen Z, and Gooramie to the halal certification obligation and analyze them from the perspective of Islamic Business Ethics.rnThis study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach and an empirical juridical approach. Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and literature studies. Primary data were obtained from business owners, employees, and consumers, while secondary data consisted of the Qur’an, Hadith, legislation, books, and relevant journals. The findings indicate that Riz Bakery recognizes the importance of halal certification and intends to obtain it but faces obstacles related to understanding the procedures and administrative requirements. Dapoer Gen Z is unaware of the halal certification obligation and has not obtained certification, although it uses raw materials believed to be halal. Meanwhile, Gooramie has obtained halal certification a form of regulatory compliance and an effort to provide assurance to consumers.rnThe study concludes that the business actors’ responses reflect the values of Islamic Business Ethics, including tawhid (monotheism), justice, free will, responsibility, and honesty (ṣiddīq). These values are demonstrated through the selection of raw materials, maintenance of product quality, provision of good service, and transparency toward consumers. However, responsibility for fulfilling halal certification requirements among businesses that have not yet obtained certification needs to be improved. Therefore, greater awareness among business actors, along with socialization and assistance from relevant authorities, is necessary to ensure the optimal implementation of halal certification obligations.
