[ Anotasi Abstrak ]
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh konformitas terhadap motivasi penyelesaian skripsi pada mahasiswa akhir Fakultas Teknik Universitas Trunodjoyo Madura (UTM). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 1.507 mahasiswa akhir Fakultas Teknik UTM, dengan sampel sebanyak 94 responden yang ditentukan menggunakan rumus Slovin dan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui skala konformitas (Kelman, 1958) dan skala motivasi (Deci & Ryan, 1985), kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konformitas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi penyelesaian skripsi (R 0,680; R Square 0,462; p < 0,05), yang berarti konformitas berkontribusi sebesar 46,2% terhadap motivasi mahasiswa, sedangkan 53,8% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian ini. Arah hubungan kedua variabel bersifat searah, yaitu semakin tinggi tingkat konformitas mahasiswa, maka semakin tinggi pula motivasinya dalam menyelesaikan skripsi.

This study aims to examine the effect of conformity on thesis-completion motivation among final-year students of the Faculty of Engineering, Trunodjoyo University of Madura (UTM). This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The population consisted of 1,507 final year students of the Faculty of Engineering, UTM, with a sample of 94 respondents determined using the Slovin formula and a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a conformity scale (Kelman, 1958) and a motivation scale (Deci & Ryan, 1985), and were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed that conformity had a positive and significant effect on thesis-completion motivation (R 0.680; R Square 0.462; p < 0.05), indicating that conformity accounted for 46.2% of the variance in motivation, while the remaining 53.8% was explained by other factors outside this study. The relationship between the two variables was unidirectional, meaning that the higher the students' level of conformity, the higher their motivation to complete the thesis.
