ABSTRAK Industri yang masih baru didirikan seperti pembuatan tortilla chips, perlu dianalisis kelayakan industrinya. Analisis yang dilakukan dapat dilihat dari aspek teknis dan finansial. Analisis aspek teknis meliputi kebutuhan kapasitas produksi, mesin dan alat yang digunakan, lokasi usaha. Analisis aspek finansial meliputi NPV, BEP, IRR dan Net B/C. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memperoleh hasil dari analisis aspek teknis (perencanaan kapasitas produksi, mesin dan alat yang digunakan, penentuan lokasi menggunakan metode Brown Gibson) dan aspek finansial berdasarkan NPV, IRR, net B/C ratio, BEP, PBP dan sensitivitas. Metode yang digunakan dalem penelitian ini ada dua yaitu metode Brown Gibson untuk menentukan lokasi usaha dan metode full costing yang digunakan untuk menentukan harga pokok produksi. Bahan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jagung, kapur sirih dan garam. Dari hasil penelitian ini diketahuai lokasi usaha yang tepat untuk pendirian usaha tortilla chips berdasarkan metode Brown Gibson adalah Kecamatan Burneh, dengan kapasitas produksi per bulanya mencapai 5.200 kemasan tortilla chips dan 650 kg jagung dan terdapat 26 hari kerja per bulan (1 hari = 8 jam kerja). Dari analisis aspek finansial diperoleh nilai NPV sebesar Rp 60.298.296, IRR sebesar 16%, net B/C ratio sebesar Rp 1,907, PBP sebesar 1,9 tahun, BEP unit sebesar 34.052, BEP Rupiah sebesar Rp 262.862.420 dan sensitivitas kenaikan harga bahan baku sebesar 30% usaha sudah tidak layak unutuk dijalankan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah usaha pembuatan tortilla chips layak untuk dilakukan berdasarkan aspek teknis maupun aspek finansial.
