Moh Syamsul Hidayat, analisis pengaruh pertumbuhan ekonomi, jumlah penduduk dan pendidikan terhadap jumlah penduduk miskin di Jawa Timur tahun 2008-2012. Dibawah bimbingan Zakik, S.E., M.Si dan Dr. Sutikno, S.E., M.E Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pertumbuhan ekonomi, jumlah penduduk dan pendidikan terhadap jumlah penduduk miskin di Jawa Timur tahun 2008-2012. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dengan alat analisis regresi data panel, yang terdiri dari data time series selama periode 2008-2012 dan data cross section 38 kabupaten/kota di Jawa Timur. Salah satu pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mengestimasi model regresi dengan data panel adalah fixed effect. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan variabel pertumbuhan ekonomi, jumlah penduduk, dan pendidikan (angka melek huruf) secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap jumlah penduduk miskin. Secara parsial variabel pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap jumlah penduduk miskin di Jawa Timur dengan korelasi 5 persen. Sementara itu, variabel jumlah penduduk berpengaruh positif dan signifkan terhadap jumlah penduduk miskin di Jawa Timur pada kolerasi 5 persen. Pada variabel pendidikan berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap jumlah penduduk miskin di Jawa Timur dengan korelasi 5 persen. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of economic growth, population education to the number of poor people in East Java year 2008-2012. In this research using secondary data with panel data regression analysis, which consists of the time series data over the period 2008-2012 and cross section 30 districts/cities in East Java. One of the approaches used to estimate the regression model with panel data is the fixed effect. The results of these research indicate that overall economic growth variables, population, and education (literacy rates) jointly affect the number of poor people in East Java with a 5 percent correlation. Meanwhile, the population variable positive and significant effect on the number of poor people in East Java 5 percent correlation. In education variables significantly and negatively related to the number of poor people in East Java 5 percent correlation.
