Berdasarkan data di Dinas Peternakan (Disnak) Jawa Timur Saat ini peternak sapi perah di daerah Jawa Timur mampu memenuhi permintaan susu segar industri pengolahan susu yang mencapai sekitar 1.600 ton per hari atau 584 ribu ton/tahun. Dan sekitar 303 ribu sapi perah yang ada di Jawa Timur per akhir tahun lalu. Sedangkan, produksi susu yang dihasilkan koperasi dan peternak tak lebih hanya 960-1.000 ton per hari, sehingga sisanya mendatangkan dari luar Jawa Timur dengan sisem subsidi angkut dari pabrik. Lokasi penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus di Koperasi Sinau Andandani Ekonomi (Koperasi “SAE”). Penelitian ini dilakukan Jl. Brigjen Abdul Manan Wijaya 16 Kecamatan Pujon Kabupaten Malang Jawa Timur dimana sebagai daerah sentra produksi industri susu nasional. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Maret sampai April 2014. Salah satu koperasi yang masih mampu bertahan hidup dan bahkan kian tahun kian berkembang adalah Koperasi SAE Pujon. Koperasi ini merupakan koperasi single commodity yang fokus pada pengolahan susu. Usaha susu memang sudah mejadi komoditas utama di Kecamatan Pujon. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa industri susu memberikan keuntungan yang diterima adalah sebesar Rp 2.277.804.253,98 sedangkan untuk penerimaan adalah sebesar Rp 139.242.428.337,2. Based on the data in Department of Farming (Disnak) East Java, nowadays the breeders of dairy cattle are able to fulfill the demanding of a fresh milk from the manufacture of milk industry. It can reach around 1.600 ton per day or 584 thousand ton/year and 303 thousand dairy cattle that can be found in East Java per the last year ago. Whereas, the production of milk which is produced by cooperation and breeders only 960-1.000 per day, so that the rest of a milk are coming from outside East Java by using company’s freight system. This research was a case study in Koperasi Sinau Andandani Ekonomi (Koperasi “SAE”). This research was located in street of Brigjen Abdul Manan Wijaya 16, Pujon Malang, Jawa Timur where it was the production centra as a national milk industry. This research was conducted on March until April 2014. Koperasi SAE Pujon was one of cooperation that still existed and developed over the years.
