Industri kreatif saat ini memegang peranan yang sangat penting dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia, bila dihubungkan dengan jumlah tenaga kerja yang direkrut oleh industri kreatif tersebut. Hal ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap perekonomian nasional yang tidak sedikit. Namun demikian, tidak jarang industri kreatif dihadapkan pada berbagai macam kendala dalam proses mengembangkan usahanya. Seperti pada kerajinan batik tulis Tanjung Bumi memiliki input penting yaitu sumber daya manusia sebagai titik sentral kreatifitas dalam kelancaran proses produksi. Pada prakteknya, keluhan pekerja secara kontinu dapat mengakibatkan konsentrasi pekerja menurun dan batik yang dihasilkan berkualitas rendah. Oleh karena itu pemecahan masalah seperti di atas tidak mungkin dilakukan satu per satu. Hasil pengolahan data Human Reliability Assessment, diperoleh hasil nilai Human Error Probability tertinggi pada bagian pewarnaan dan pembatikan. Perbaikan postur kerja guna mengurangi probabilitas human error dengan metode RULA pada seluruh bagian produksi batik diperoleh skor akhir dengan risiko tertinggi pada bagian pewarnaan dan pelorodan. Perhitungan beban mental atau weighted workload (WWL) dengan menggunakan NASA-TLX diperoleh nilai beban kerja dengan kategori cukup tinggi pada bagian pembatikan. Sementara untuk 3 sumber hazard yang sering terjadi saat proses produksi batik, yaitu sikap pekerja (human error), bahan kimia dan postur kerja. Maka dapat diperoleh usulan perbaikan dengan merancang ulang gawangan batik dan bak pencelupan warna yang dapat memperbaiki postur kerja dan mengurangi interaksi dengan zat kimia dengan menerapkan penggunaan APD seperti masker, safety goggles (alat pelindung mata), safety gloves (alat pelindung tangan) apron (celemek),dan sepatu boots pada pemakainya.

Then the proposed improvements can be obtained by redesigning gawangan and tub dyeing batik colors that can improve working posture and reduce interactions with chemicals by implementing the use of PPE such as masks, safety goggles (eye protection), safety gloves (hand protection equipment) apron, and boots on the wearer.
