M.Hum, (II) Suci Suryani, S.S., M.Pd ADAM WARNER’S LOVE AFFAIR IN SIDNEY SHELDON’S RAGE OF ANGELS Jennifer Parker is the main female character of Sidney Sheldon novel, entitled Rage of Angels. In the novel, Jennifer has two relationship which are interesting to be analyzed. The first relationship is her love relationship with her lover , Adam Warner, the main male character in the novel. The second relationship is her relationship with her son, Joshua Adam. These two relationship are proper to be analyzed by triangular of love. This study was intended to answer two formulated research problems. Namely (1) How was Jennifer Parker’s love toward Adam Warner and Joshua Adam in Sidney Sheldon’s Rage of Angels?,(2)What kind of love which was experienced by Jennifer toward Adam Warner and Joshua Adam? This study was focussed on the utterances, and author’s narrations in the novel, by using Sternberg’s theory a triangular of love. This study was qualitative study conducted through some steps. They were compiling, disassembling, reassembling, interpreting the data, and concluding the analysis. Futhermore, the writer was the key instrument and the analysis was performed in the form of words or interpretation to answer the research problem After analyzing the novel, it was concluded that there are two love relationships in the novel, firstly, relationship between Jennifer and Adam warner has two components of love, they were intimacy and passion. The kind of love experienced by Jennifer and Adam Warner included romantic love. secondly, relationship between Jennifer and Joshua Adam included in liking, and their relationship only has intimacy component.
