Pierre Bourdiue memiliki empat jenis teori mengenai modal, salah satunya yaitu modal budaya atau cultural capital. Keberadaan modal budaya melekat pada diri seseorang terlihat dari cara bertutur, bersikap, wibawa sehingga melahirkan status sosial di mata masyarakat. Modal budaya lahir dari keseluruhan kualifikasi intelektual yang diproduksi secara formal maupun warisan keluarga. Di desa Romben Guna kecamatan Dungkek, terdapat beberapa dukun dan salah satu dukun yang kehadirannya sangat dekat dengan masyarakat yaitu dukun japa. Dukun japa adalah dukun yang bisa mengobati orang sakit dengan cara jampi-jampi dan kekuatan tenaga dalam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk melihat gaya hidup cultural capital pada dukun japa di desa romben guna kecamatan dungkek kabupaten sumenep. Gaya hidup cultural capital bisa dilihat dari cara bersikap, bertutur, cara bergaul, pengetahuan yang diperoleh sehingga melahirkan status sosial di mata masyarakat. Penelitian tersebut menggunakan rumusan masalah yaitu bagaimana gaya hidup cultural capital Pierre Bourdieu pada Dukun Japa di desa Romben Guna Kecamatan Dungkek Kabupaten Sumenep. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan observasi dan wawancara dari 4 informan yang terdiri dari dukun japa dan 3 informan lainnnya yaitu masyarakat Romben Guna di tiga dua dusun yang berbeda. Metode pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini mengemukakan bahwa gaya hidup cultural capital pierre bourdieu melekat pada dukun japa karena pengetahuan perdukunan, cara berinteraksi dengan masyarakat, cara bertutur serta legitimasi masyarakat dari hasil kerja pengobatan dukun japa tersebut menangani pasien. Hasilnya, dukun japa di desa Romben Guna Kecamatan Dungkek Kabupaten Sumenep menempati kelas sosial yang istimewa dengan cultural capital yang dimiliki dan didukung oleh capital-capital lainnya

This study employed qualitative methods with observation and interviews from four informants consisting of three informants dukun japa and other informants is the public pigure in Romben Guna especially in three different two hamlets. Methods of data collection that is interview, observation and documentation. The Results of this study suggests that lifestyle cultural capital of Pierre Bourdieu attached to the dukun japa because knowledge of shamanism, how to interact with people, how to speak and the public legitimacy of the work of the dukun japa medicine dealing with patients. As a result, dukun japa in the village of Romben Guna Dungkek Districk, Sumenep regency place special social standing in society because of the their cultural capitals and supported with their other capitals.
