Menciptakan sebuah keamanan dan ketertiban di masyarakat merupakan tugas pokok dari kepolisian maka dari itu kepolisian harus memiliki etos kerja yang tinggi dan baik yang sesuai dengan undang-undang dan kode etik kepolisian. Etos kerja adalah seperangkat perilaku kerja positif dan bermutu tinggi, yang berakar pada kesadaran yang jernih dan keyakinan yang kuat pada paradikma kerja yang holistik, maka tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan etos kerja Sektor Pademawu dan Sektor Proppo Kabupaten Pamekasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan menyebar kuesioner skala etos kerja, teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan sampel jenuh, teknik penentuan sampel jenuh bila semua anggota populasi digunakan sebagai sampel, penelitian ini dilakukan pada seluruh anggota kepolisian Sektor Pademawu dan Sektor Proppo. Jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 58 orang dengan rincian 28 orang polisi Sektor Pademawu dan 30 orang polisi Sektor Proppo tempat penelitian ini bertempat di Polsek Pademawu dan Polsek Proppo, pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala etos kerja. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis statistik independent-sample t-test dengan bantuan SPSS versi 17 for windows. Hasil analisis data penelitian diperoleh 0,219 dengan signifikansi 0.05 karena signifikansi ≥ 0.05, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan etos kerja. Kepolisian Sektor Pademawu memiliki (M = 461.14, SD = 33.081) dan Sektor Proppo memiliki (M = 449.53, SD = 37.629). Dari 8 aspek, hanya 2 aspek berbeda dan 6 aspek sama. Oleh karena itu, secara umum tidak ada perbedaan etos kerja pada kedua sektor tersebut.

Creating a condition of public order and security is police’s main duty. Therefore, a police officer should have had a high working ethic that in line with the law and police working ethics. Working ethics is a set of positive and high quality working attitude. It is derived from high awareness and cofidence on holistical working paradigm. Based on the fact above, the purpose of the study is to determine the difference of working ethics on Proppo and Pademawu sector, Pamekasan region. The study applies quantitative method by spreading questionnaire of working ethics scale. The samples collecting technique applied is saturated sampling. Saturated sampling determination technique is possible when all the population members are used as the samples. The study is conducted on the officers of police department on Proppo and Pademawu sector. The total subjects of the study are 58 officers with 28 police officers derived from Pademawu sector and 30 police officers of Proppo sector in detail. Data collecting method applies the scale of working ethics. Data analysis applied is independent-sample t-test statistical analysis with the corresponds of SPSS 17 version for windows. The result of data analysis on the study obtains the value of 0,219 with the significance of 0.05 for the significance ≥ 0.05. It indicates that there is no difference on working ethics. The police office of Pademawu sector has (M = 461.14, SD = 33.081), while the Proppo has (M = 449.53, SD = 37.629). From the 8 aspects, only 2 aspects show the difference while the 6 aspects presents the similarity. Therefore, in general, there is no working ethics difference on both sectors.
