ABSTRAK Guru di sekolah dasar masih menggunakan pembelajaran yang konvensioanal atau monoton. Waktu proses pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia media yang digunakan oleh guru hanya buku paket. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana efektifitas strategi think-talk-write dengan media gambar dalam menulis puisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan strategi Think-Talk-Write (TTW) dan media gambar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas V di SDN Angkatan I sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan di SDN Kalikatak II sebagai kelompok control. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen. Bentuk metode yang dipilih adalah Quasi Experimental Design karena kelompok tidak dipilih secara random, dan bentuk desain Quasi Experimental Design yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 37 yang terbagi dalam dua kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol berjumlah 17 siswa dan kelompok eksperimen berjumlah 20 siswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Purposive Sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan prestasi menulis puisi antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol, hal ini dibuktikan oleh hasil perhitungan uji-T, yaitu ttabel 2,0317 sedangkan thitung 3,464, karena thitung 3,464 > 2,0317, maka kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol setelah diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda kedua kelompok memiliki prestasi menulis puisi yang berbedajuga. ABSTRACT Primary school teachers are often to use conventional or monotonous learning. In Indonesian learning process, the media which is used by the teachers is only a textbook. The research problem of this study is how the effectiveness of think-talk-write strategy with picture media in writing a poem. This study is aimed to know the effectiveness of Think-Talk-Write (TTW) strategy and picture media. This study is conducted at grade V student in SDN Angkatan I as experimental group and SDN Kalikatak I as control group. This study uses quantitative approach. Method of this study is experimental research. A kind of method which is chosen for this study is Quasi Experimental Design because the groups are not chosen randomly, and the design of this method which is used is Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sample which are collected in this study are 37 students which is divided into 2 groups, those are control group which consist of 17 students and experimental group consists of 20 students. Purposive Sampling is used as sampling technique in this study. The results of this study show that there is a difference in achievement in writing a poem between experimental group and control group. It can be proven by the result of T-test calculation that is ttable is 2,0317 while tcount is 3,464, because tcount is 3,464 > 2,0317, so that experimental group and control group have a different achievement in writing a poem after the different treatment is given to the two groups.
