[ Anotasi Abstrak ]

Industri tahu merupakan suatu industri yang produksinya menyisakan limbah organik. Limbah organik yang dihasilkan terdiri dari limbah padat dan cair yang dapat mencemari lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik limbah cair tahu di industri tahu UD. Liridollah. Sampel limbah cair tersebut di ambil dan diuji untuk dianalisis jumlah kandungan COD, BOD, TSS, dan pH. Dari hasil uji laboratorium menjelaskan bahwa kandungan limbah cair yang diambil dari bak penampungan sementara yaitu memiliki kadar BOD 4555.6 mg/L, COD 13278 mg/L, TSS 34 mg/L dan pH 3,75 mg/L. Sedangkan limbah cair yang diambil dari saluran pipa memiliki kadar BOD sebesar 2677.2 mg/L, COD 4250 mg/L, TSS 630 mg/L dan pH 4,33 mg/L. Hasil analisis dari kedua sampel tersebut bisa dikatakan melebihi ambang batas baku mutu Air Limbah yang di rekomendasikan oleh PERGUB Jawa Timur Tahun 2013. Sehingga, perlu dilakukan pengolahan lebih lanjut agar kadar limbah cair bisa dikurangi dan tidak mencemari lingkungan.

Industry of tofu is an industry whose production leaving organic waste. The resulting organic waste consists of solid and liquid waste that can pollute the environment. This study aims to investigate the characteristics of liquid waste of tofu in the industry tofu UD. Liridollah. The liquid waste samples were taken and tested to analyze the amount of COD, BOD, TSS, and pH. From the results of laboratory tests explained that the content of liquid waste taken from the tank while that have high levels of BOD 4555.6 mg/L, COD 13278 mg/L, TSS 34 mg/L and a pH of 3.75 mg/L. While wastewater taken from a pipeline has a BOD level of 2677.2 mg/L, COD 4250 mg/L TSS 630 mg/L and a pH of 4.33 mg/L. The results of the analysis of the second samples can be said to exceed the quality standard limits waste water recommended by East Java Governor Regulation 2013. Therefore, it is necessary to do further processing in order to level liquid waste can be reduced and does not pollute the environment.
