Pembimbing: Prof. Dr. Suryo Tri Saksono, M.Pd.rnrnPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui emosi serta bagaimana cara tokoh perempuan ketika menghadapi dampak komodifikasi yang dialaminya dalam novel Little Fires Everywhere. Penulis menerapkan psikoanalisis pada emosi manusia yang dikemukakan oleh Freud dan 4 cara mengatasi komodifikasinya menjadi pembahasan utama penelitian ini.rnPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk menafsirkan tuturan tokoh dan narasi pengarang. Penulis menggunakan teknik scanning sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Penulis membaca novel tersebut berkali-kali dan memperhatikan pemilihan data yang mewakili komodifikasi tubuh oleh Mia Warren sebagai tokoh utama.rnHasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel Little Fires Everywhere karya Celeste Ng menggambarkan persoalan komodifikasi tubuh di era modern. Dari hasil temuan terlihat ada lima macam emosi yang dihadapi perempuan dalam novel, yaitu: manipulatif, kebohongan dan kesedihan, kecemasan, panik dan ketakutan, kebingungan dan rasa bersalah. Cara karakter perempuan menghadapi pengalaman komodifikasinya berbeda-beda, ada yang memilih berjuang untuk bertahan hidup dan ada pula yang memilih menyerah.rnKata Kunci: Komodifikasi Tubuh Pada Manusia, Perasaan, Psikoanalisis.

Advisor: Prof. Dr. Suryo Tri Saksono, M.Pd.rnrnThis research aims to determine anxiety and how female characters respond when facing the effects of commodification that her experience in the novel Little Fires Everywhere. The writer applies psychoanalysis of emotions proposed by Freud and 4 ways to overcome her commodification are the main discussion of this study.rnThis research is a qualitative descriptive study. Qualitative descriptive methods are used in this research to interpret the characters' speech and the writer’s narrative. The writer uses the scanning technique a data collection method. The writer read the novel many times and paid attention to the selection of data that represents the commodification of body by Mia Warren the main character.rnThe research results show that the novel Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng depicts the issue of body commodification in the modern era. It can be seen from the findings that there are five kinds of emotions faced by women in the novel, namely: manipulative, lies and sadness, anxiety, panic and fear, confusion and guilt. The way female characters deal with their experiences of commodification varies, some choose to fight to survive and others choose to give up.rnKeywords: Commodification of the Body, Feelings, Psychoanalysis.
