ABSTRAK Iventarisasi terumbu karang adalah satu langkah untuk mengetahui tutupan karang suatu kawasan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui keragaman spesies dan persentase tutupan karang hidup, serta keragaman spesies ikan karang di pulau Mamburit sebagai data awal untuk menjadikan Sumenep daerah tujuan ekowisata bahari. Pertumbuhan terumbu karang di pulau Mamburit terdapat 11 genus karang dengan tipe terumbu karang tepi (fringing reef) dari arah pantai menuju tubir membentuk paparan (reef flat),Persentase penutupan karang stasiun 1 adalah 79.76 %, stasiun 2 adalah 75.72% termasuk kelas S 1, stasiun 3 adalah 36.52%, stasiun 4 adalah 37.2% termasuk kelas S 3, sedangkang Indek mortalitas karang (IMK) stasiun 1 adalah 0,01%, stasiun 2 adalah 0,12%. Kelimpahan ikan karang pulau Mamburit keseluruhan mencapai 26 Spesies serta 171 individu per 250m2 stasiun 1 terdapat 16 Spesies,66 individu per 250m2, stasiun 2 terdapat 13 spesies, 50 individu per 250m2, stasiun 3 terdapat 5 spesies, 19 individu per 250m2, stasiun 4 terdapat 9 spesies, 36 individu per 250m2. Analisis indek kesesuaian ekowisata bahari kategori snorkeling adalah stasiun 1(78,95%), stasiun 2 (77.19%) termasuk kelas S1 berarti sangat sesuai, stasiun 3 (40,35%), stasiun 4 (49.12%) termasuk kelas S3 berarti sesuai marginal. Analisa kesesuaian kawasan ekowisata bahari kategori selam stasiun 1 (72,22%) termasuk kelas S2 berarti cukup sesuai, stasiun 2 (77,77%) termasuk kelas S1 berarti sangat sesuai, stasiun 3 (46,30%) termasuk kelas S3 berarti sesuai marginal, stasiun 4 (51,85%) termasuk kelas S2 berarti cukup sesuai. Titik aktifitas ekowisata kategori selam pada stasiun 1 dan 2 dan kategori snorkeling pada stasiun 3 dan 4. Kata kunci : Terumbu karang, Ekowisata bahari, pulau Mamburit
