[ Anotasi Abstrak ]

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni 2014 di Perairan Pulau Gili Lawak Kabupaten Sumenep. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Persen tutupan karang dan struktur komunitas terumbu karang dilihat dari jenis, keanekaragaman, keseragaman, dan dominansi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode suvei dengan menggunakan transek garis (LIT), terdiri atas 2 stasiun pada kedalaman 3 meter. Tipe terumbu karang yang ada di Peraiaran Pulau Gili Lawak memiliki tipe terumbu karang tepi. Bentuk pertumbuhan terumbu karang yang terdapat di daerah penelitian adalah Acropora Branching (ACB), Acropora Tabulate (ACT) Acropora Submasive (ACS), Acropora Digitate (ACD), , Non Acropora : Coral Branching (CB), Coral Massive (CM), Coral Encrusting (CE), Coral Foliose (CF), Coral Submasive (CS) dan Coral Mushroom (CMR). Kisaran persentase tutupan karang pada kedua stasiun menunjukkan angka 37% - 59% yang berarti kondisi tutupan tergolong sedang dan baik. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman diperoleh dengn rata-rata 1,574 termasuk kategori rendah, indeks keseragaman 0,813 dengan kategori sedang dan pada perairan pulau Gili Lawak tidak ada jenis yang mendominasi dengan nilai sebesar 0,12

Deskripsi Lain

This study was conducted in June 2014 at Gili Lawak island waters Sumenep. The aim of this study is to determine the percentage of coral cover and coral reef community structure seen from the type, diversity, uniformity, and dominance. The method used the survey method by using line transect (LIT), consisting of two stations at a depth of 3 meters. Type of coral reefs at Gili Lawak waters has type fringing reef. The shape of the growth of coral reefs located at the study area are Acropora Branching (ACB), Acropora Tabulate (ACT) Acropora Submasive (ACS), Acropora Digitate (ACD), , Non Acropora : Coral Branching (CB), Coral Massive (CM), Coral Encrusting (CE), Coral Foliose (CF), Coral Submasive (CS) dan Coral Mushroom (CMR). The range of the percentage of coral cover at both stations showed the 37% - 59%, which means that the condition was moderate and good cover. Diversity index values obtained with less average of 1,574 is low, uniformity index of 0.813 with medium category and at Gili Lawak waters island no dominant species with a value of 0.12.
